What fantastic weather we are having at the moment – I would say make the most of it cause being British we’ve come to expect only a fortnight of good weather.

My progress in last nights £250 was short lived and can be tracked on Facebook.

Today is the final of the main event and sees the following players battling it out:

Hassan Mohammed - 381,900 chips - 39 year-old Hassan is a lawyer from Birmingham and lies in second place, juts a big blind short of the chip lead. This is his first GUKPT main event final table.

Stuart Rutter - 307,000 chips - 27-year-old Stuart is a professional poker player from Birmingham. The gcasino.com sponsored pro will be competing in his 4th GUKPT main event final table.

Jeff Kimber - 69,000 chips - 35-year-old professional poker player Jeff hails from Newcastle, but now lives in London. The gcasino.com sponsored player is the only previous winner of a GUKPT main event (Walsall 2008) and will be playing in his 4th main event final table.

Nick Wealthall - 56,300 chips - 37-year-old Nick from London is the host of the UKIPT and a poker journalist and broadcaster. This will be his first GUKPT main event final table.

"Hassan is a very level headed player and had the ability to work things out quite quickly and pick good spots to make plays - he would be my pick out of some very good competition, although I'd like to see Stu Rutter bag a title and end the run of near misses.

Good luck to all finalists today "

For me, I’ve got some block paving to clean down – then I’ve got the choice of DTD at 3pm for the 10 seats guaranteed into their Vegas Final on bank holiday Monday or I got the Bounty event at Coventry at 5pm …. Erm decisions……. Enjoy the sun.
