Got to Dublin just after 3pm yesterday afternoon and could I find a boozer with the Villa match on? not on your nelly. Italy was playing Ireland at rugby with the Irish were tying the Italians up like spaghetti, they absolutely bolagnaised them.

A quick call home to Stallion to discover that we are 2-1 down with ten minutes left, soon to become 3-1 set the tone for the afternoon so a swift half of Guiness at 3.50euro's (£3.50 for a half) then I went to bed for a couple of hours.

My mate Baldy is a big Evertonion so for his sake I hope they go on to win it now. He's been a big fan for years, goes to all the home matches even though he lives in Wolverhampton and suffers week after week, had he's wheel trims nicked at least twice - It just so happens that he's in Paris this weekend with his missus for a weekend of loooovvvveeeee so it could well be that this was their most important win for 50 years and they'll probably get knocked out in the next round.

Staying at The Arlington Hotel on Bachelors walk, next to the Liffey river right by O'Connell Bridge and just a two minute walk from Temple Bar area of bars and clubs. We went for a 3 course meal and an Irish dancing night, unfortunately the licencing laws still a bit draconian and out of date with the bars closing at 10.30pm here on a Sunday.

If you are thinking of a short break in Ireland then becareful of the exchange rate with the Euro now effectively more than the pound, 100 euros costing £104.

Free wireless in the room sorts of makes up for things and I managed a £15 freezeout last night while Andrea and Edward were in the land of ZZZzzzzs.

Tonight on Sky sports 2 at 10.30 pm is my 888.com world open leg with Roland de Wolfe and Stuart Rutter appearing, Stuarts wooly hoody comes in for some stick off Jesse and Matt Broughton from the Sky TV channel - dont miss.

Off for breakfast now so will catch up later.
